Association Construction Collage shares its data with WAAO members, production commissioner at Bazaar St So, a creative third place in the heart of Lille. Here we share the WAAO's text dedicated to the exhibition "The city goes in circles?", held in September 2023 in Lille.
And if the city was driven by one cycle, allowing him to self-regulate, to regenerate, like the life cycle? The concept of circular city expresses the idea that it can build on itselffrom existing resources. However,a city also seems to be turning around, renewing for many years the same anthropocetic and productivist practices.
Imagined as a series of instructions for use This exhibition presents the Re-employment under different prisms: materials, spaces, nature, buildings, wasteland, uses, channels... Each notice aims to decode methods and practices, identify blocking points and respond to them through numerous concrete initiatives illustrated with testimonials, mockups, photos, videos and other artifacts.
These modes Re-employment are not "exhaustive" but "exhaustive". They are looking to reveal sensitivity, to develop our curiosity, to overcome the ideas received, to touch with finger the habitus of those who make and inhabit our cities, their ways of understanding the spaces, their visions of the territory.
They put into practice the idea that to make tomorrow's city, it is necessary to repair the one that already exists.
